  15. In this position, you will lead an effort to define and develop 
  16. technology for the interoperability of intelligent electronic products 
  17. (including power distribution, protection, and metering devices, and 
  18. value-added distributed control systems such as those needed for 
  19. process/factory, locomotive, medical, and other applications). The 
  20. primary focus will be to strengthen the systems capabilities of GE 
  21. businesses such as ED&C and Drives by leveraging distributed 
  22. client-server architectures for intelligent control and integration of 
  23. products.  In order to succeed, this individual should have a strong 
  24. technical background in electrical engineering, information networks, 
  25. computer science, systems engineering, client/server architectures, 
  26. object-oriented analysis and design, software development, and control 
  27. engineering.  This individual will be responsible for developing a 
  28. business-oriented vision and plan, marketing to sell the concept, and 
  29. building a team to implement the vision.

  31. This position requires a PhD in EE or CS with experience in both 
  32. object-oriented software engineering and power systems.  This high 
  33. energy, visionary individual should have experience in both systems 
  34. integration and software development.  Along with strong interpersonal, 
  35. communication, organizational and leadership skills, the successful 
  36. candidate will have the demonstrated ability to successfully define, 
  37. market, plan, initiate, and execute projects.  Flexibility and a 
  38. motivated, goal oriented attitude a must.

  40. Experience in controls engineering, client/server architectures, software 
  41. development, C, C++, UNIX, and Intel environments is desirable.
