- In this position, you will lead an effort to define and develop
- technology for the interoperability of intelligent electronic products
- (including power distribution, protection, and metering devices, and
- value-added distributed control systems such as those needed for
- process/factory, locomotive, medical, and other applications). The
- primary focus will be to strengthen the systems capabilities of GE
- businesses such as ED&C and Drives by leveraging distributed
- client-server architectures for intelligent control and integration of
- products. In order to succeed, this individual should have a strong
- technical background in electrical engineering, information networks,
- computer science, systems engineering, client/server architectures,
- object-oriented analysis and design, software development, and control
- engineering. This individual will be responsible for developing a
- business-oriented vision and plan, marketing to sell the concept, and
- building a team to implement the vision.

- This position requires a PhD in EE or CS with experience in both
- object-oriented software engineering and power systems. This high
- energy, visionary individual should have experience in both systems
- integration and software development. Along with strong interpersonal,
- communication, organizational and leadership skills, the successful
- candidate will have the demonstrated ability to successfully define,
- market, plan, initiate, and execute projects. Flexibility and a
- motivated, goal oriented attitude a must.
